Misplaced Music is a non-profit organization devoted to promoting local music of all genres through an internet radio station, live events and sponsoring unique collaborations.

Our Vision

Misplaced Music is not a new competitor in the local music scene; we are a non-profit organization designed to promote music as art, regardless of its value as a commodity. As such, we consider ourselves patrons of both established and obscure local artists. At no charge to musicians or listeners, Misplaced Music Radio continually streams a play list exclusively made up of Minnesota based artists. We also periodically showcase artists at fundraisers and events.  By collaborating with local musicians and other arts organizations we hope to foster a greater sense of community in the Minnesota music scene.

A. Maybe. We originally launched in 2004 but have been inactive for a couple of years.

A. No.  We stream local music at no charge to artists or listeners.

A. Yes, we are an official 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. All donations made to Misplaced Music are tax deductible.

Q. Where do you get your money to operate?
A. We receive funds through donations, grants and program sponsorship.
